I made a movie about it last night
The robot wheatfield frolic, version 2, with RSS feeds
Ashley: my, i’m not sure i entirely understand what it is
Andrew: ha, yes, it is weird
you walk through this steel “wheatfield” which is to say, you walk through a bunch of wires sticking out of the ground
and they are essentially switches
and as you move around in them, they hit your body and make connections
and these lights are projected from above, and they track your body as you’re walking around in this grid of wires
they shine on you
and the lights used to be these funny light animations in flash, but now I turned it into a beautiful disco dance floor made out of text
the text is real-time blog posts pulled in from the net that have to do with “light” or “sunshine” or “frolicking”
Ashley: and you made this
Andrew: yes
Ashley: andrew i can’t fucking believe you
